Finally!
I love to bake but even more, I LOVE to eat what I bake! And, now, finally, I'm starting to blog about it. I'm excited to start sharing some great recipes, so without further ado, here's the first one. It's perfect for a cold winter day and makes your whole house smell as yummy as it tastes!
Old-Fashioned Rice Pudding
ingredients:
4 1/2 cups milk, 1/2 cup uncooked long grain rice, 1/3 cup sugar, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 cup raisins, 1 tsp vanilla, cinnamon.
Combine milk, rice, sugar and salt in a saucepan; bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Pour into greased baking dish. Cover and bake @ 325 for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove from oven and add raisins and vanilla; cover and bake for 15 additional minutes. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Serve warm (try it with ice cream for an extra-special treat) or chilled. Enjoy!
I love the name of your blog! I really can't wait for our baking group, I think it's going to be a blast. I have never made bread pudding before, I guess I am going to have to try it. Hooray for the cooking blog. :)
