BAKE 52: WEEK 24

Cinnamon Swirl Bread

This was a simple bread that looked fancy (in the cookbook), tasted great, and smell fabulous baking (what's better than the aroma of cinnamon and baking bread, seriously!?).  However, I was way disappointed when I cut into mine and found that the bread had pulled away from the cinnamon swirl!  I followed the instructions, paying special attention to the tip about spraying with water so this problem does NOT happen.  Hmm, not sure about that tip.  I'll be making cinnamon rolls this weekend for Father's Day and maybe I'll give the spray bottle one more try.  Anyway, once again, a great-tasting recipe and you can get it from our host, Rebekah, HERE.

  1. Mine pulled away some too and I also used the spray bottle. I wondered if letting mine rise to much was the problem. Not sure. BTW I loved your Harry Potter party. Very creative!

    1. Good point, I think I did let it rise to long. Maybe I wont give up on the spray bottle just yet:)

  3. The harry potter party was awesome! Lucky kids. I think it doesn't matter if it separated as long as it tasted good. Mine was separated in the middle too, I was blaming too long of a rise and under baking but I am going to have to try it again to see, I guess. I love the little face peeking around the bread, so cute.

  4. LOVE little Joshua's face peeking around the bread! I would make this again, just for the smell alone! But if you go to the trouble, might as well eat it...
